Fees

Ground Training, Hourly Rate:  $40.  Rate includes instructor only, no simulator.

Simulator Training, Hourly Rate:  $80.  Rate includes both instructor and simulator.  OFS provides dual flight simulator training (instructor and simulator).  No solo flight simulator rental is available.​

Sample Lesson:  An instrument pilot wants to update their FAA instrument "recency of experience" requirements per 14 CFR 61.57(c).  This requires:  1) six instrument approaches, 2)  holding, and 3) intercepting and tracking courses.  Plan on about 2.5 hours to complete the lesson requirements.  Actual time may be more or less.  Total cost is about $200.00 (2.5 hours at $80 per hour).  Similar training in an airplane with a CFII will require more time and more money, about $500 to $600.
