Helpful items to memorize during the instrument approach briefing:

Final approach course.  DA or MDA and MAP.  Initial missed approach course and altitude.

Depending on the aircraft make and model, accomplished the following:

Aviate:  Autopilot.  Power up (throttle, carb heat).  Pitch up.

Right rudder.  Clean up (flaps, gear, final flaps, cowl flaps, trim).

Navigate:  Fly the initial course and altitude.  Resume GPS waypoint sequencing.

Select GPS/LOC/VOR navigation.  Fly the published missed approach.

Communicate:  ATCT or CTAF and Approach Control.
