Letter of Authorization (LOA)

The FAA requires ATDs include a current Letter of Authorization (LOA).  The LOA must be renewed every 5 years by the simulator manufacturer.  If you've been using an ATD to meet aeronautical experience requirements for a new certificate or rating, then your flight examiner may ask to see your flight simulator LOA during the practical exam.  A current copy of the LOA will be provided to you by Oregon Flight Sim during your flight simulator training.  In addition, a current copy of the LOA is also available directly from the manufacturer, Precision Flight Controls (PFC) at: "flyPFC.com", select Training Systems > Fixed Wing > Desktop > CR-12 ProPanel AATD or GT Glass Trainer > Downloads > LOA.

• The CR-12 LOA expires on 31 Mar 2027.

• The GT LOA expires on 31 Mar 2025.
